DIY Nursery Wall Art Idea
We fell in love with this sweet DIY nursery wall art idea from Aedriel Originals. It’s a unique and inexpensive way to add color and character to your child’s new room (plus, how cute is baby Kate?).
To add a personal touch, Aedriel suggests using fabric that has a story to tell. “What about an embroidered hankie of your grandmother’s, or a favorite dress you wore as a child?” she says. “All the important women in your daughter’s life could provide a fabric swatch.”
What You Need:
1. Embroidery hoop (you can find these for less than $2 at Joann.com or a crafts store)
2. A scrap piece of fabric that is a few inches wider than the hoop
3. Scissors
4. Elmer’s Glue
5. Wooden letters (we found tons of options on Etsy)

I’m doing a Beatrix Potter theme and so I bought a big story collection at Half Price Books and framed a bunch of the pictures from the book. It bought frames at Goodwill and estate and garage sales. Super cheap and so adorable! There are many more pictures than I can frame so I’m also doing a garland because we can’t put up decals or a wallpaper border in our rented home.
I would LOVE to see pictures of that!!!
Kieran, that sounds adorable! You should send us the pictures to photos@thebump.com – we’d love to see!
My brother recommended I might like this website.
He was totally right. This post actually made my day.
You cann’t imagine just how much time I had spent for this information! Thanks!
Hi Kathleen, I love that paint color! I’m looking for the perfect peach for my baby’s nursery. What’s the name and brand??
