Kourtney Kardashian Had Two Baby Showers — Is That Okay?
Photo: PR PhotosWill you be keeping up with the Kardashians when it comes to baby showers? Kourtney, who’s expecting a girl in July, celebrated Mother’s Day weekend with a baby shower in Los Angeles. Kourtney’s mom Kris and sisters Kim and Khloe threw her a luncheon on Saturday May 12th. According to PEOPLE, more than 50 guests attended the backyard party (including Kim’s new boyfriend Kanye West and Khloe’s husband Lamar) in Kris’s home. The theme was “The Hamptons.”
This wasn’t Kourtney’s first shower for this pregnancy, though. Her boyfriend Scott Disick had thrown her a bash a few weeks ago in his hometown — it was an elegant affair at a restaurant in Riverhead, NY.

I had three showers for my first baby. My family lives in Denver, but we live in Lubbock, so we had a Lubbock shower and a Denver shower. Then my co-workers suprised me with a shower on my last day of work. I don’t think there is anything wrong with multiple showers, as long as your not the driving force behind them.
I have friends in two different Texas cities, so each group wanted to throw a shower. Once was before my son arrived, and the other was after–a library & nursery rhyme-themed shower! Everyone got to meet and hold the baby, including the woman who took care of me from my earliest days after my mom had to go back to work.
Yeah, I had two baby showers. What’s wrong with that? Both my mother and my mother-in-law were excited for their first grandchild, so each wanted to throw her own shower. I had two wedding showers, too. But, am I missing something? Why is this even a topic of discussion?
I’m having 4 total! One for work (I work out of town), one for friends, one for my family’s side, and one for my husband’s side. If I invited all of those people to one big shower, I’d be opening gifts for hours!! It’s not like I’m throwing them for myself either. I have a lot of wonderful people who want to do something nice for me. I’m with Francesca…..why is this even a story?
Im having two baby showers!. I am originally from Brooklyn, NY but recently moved to Florida, being that mine and my husbands family are still in NY I will be having a shower there, and one here in Florida. I see nothing wrong with having two of them specially when your family lives in different cities.
I play (or used to play) women’s pro tackle football and my team mates want to throw me a shower. My coworkers are planning a “work shower” and my mom and mother in law are planning a shower for family and close friends. Is that wrong? I didn’t request 3 showers everyone is just happy and excited for us. Is there something wrong with that?
I had three showers. I did not ask for any of them. One was friends from my home state, one was family, and one was friends from the state we live in now. I also don’t understand why it wouldn’t be ok. If someone wants to throw you a shower it would be rude to say no!
I’m having two, one for work and one for family and close friends, and that’s more than enough for me. I had a friend offer to throw one for my friends and have my mom throw one for family, but I nixed that idea because I want to have friends and family together. Plus I figure I’ll be so huge and tired by then that I’ll only have the energy and patience for one!

I think typically you have a shower or multiple for your first child, and usually u don’t have one for every child. But celebrities can do whatever they want!
I am having two showers as well. Long story short, I am having one shower in Texas for all my friends/family here and one shower in Ireland where I will be moving mid-pregnancy with my family there. Because I am moving, the smaller items will be given to me before and the shower after will have the larger items that would cost a fortune to ship overseas.
