New mom Charlize Theron stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to chat about motherhood and her new movies. She told Ellen that she’s getting some help from her two adopted dogs, “People keep saying to me, ‘Oh you’re a single mom,’ and I’m like, ‘Actually, I’m not, I’ve got two guys helping me out.” Apparently, her dogs got used to baby Jackson quickly and fell in love with her son from the first moment he came home. She even told Ellen that her pitbull woke up with Charlize for every feeding and diaper change and when Jackson would cry, he’d start crying too. (Where can we get dogs like that?)

The actress even spoke about the adoption process – it took her two years to adopt a baby and she brought Jackson home when he was nine days old. “My mom said the most beautiful thing – I’m going to cry,” she told Ellen. “She said, ‘You know, it took me nine months to fall in love with you while you were growing in my stomach. It took you two years to fall in love with this little baby’…It just feels exactly how it’s supposed to feel. I don’t know how to describe it. It just feels right.”

And of course, Ellen gave Charlize a baby gift: A space suit that looks like her costume in her new movie Prometheus!
