My husband and I have a parenting routine down too, its terrible when he leaves. My daughter is four and I am pregnant with number two. He is in the military and just got home from a deployment two months ago and just left last week and will be back right before the baby is born. Its a stressful situation for both mom and kids for sure. Its hard for mom to play all roles and of course the kids act out because of the change no matter how long or short it is for. Best of luck next time he goes out of town, just make sure you do what I do, reserve at least 5 minutes every few hours for a “mommy minute” its the only way to restore your sanity!!!!
