My husband and I have been up and down this road for several years. With Kaiser (California), you have to pay for several test, medication, exams, etc. before any procedures. You also have to go through stages, medication and trying to conceive with just that has help. Medication and IUI. Then medication and IVF. By this time your way past the 14k mark.

I have a friend down south that paid 60000 before she went to a new doctor who just did a test on her blood and found that she need blood thinners to conceive!

IVF has gotten way out of control. Of course doctors are pushing for multiple procedures because they get 20k per procedure. It isn’t the doctor’s heart that is broken every month though.
