Big celebrity couple news: power couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are divorcing after five years of marriage, according to PEOPLE. The couple wed in November 2006 and had their daughter, Suri (who’s now six years old), in April 2006.

So now that they’re divorcing, who gets custody of Suri? After Tom Cruise divorced Nicole Kidman, their children Connor and Isabella lived in LA with Tom with Nicole visiting every now and then. Nicole talked to her Hello! magazine about her kids in 2010, “They live with Tom, which was their choice. I’d love them to live with us, but what can you do?” But, we do always see Suri and Katie running errands or having mother-daughter bonding time, so maybe she’ll live with Katie. TMZ reports that Katie (who filed for divorce) wants sole custody of Suri and “primary residential custody.”

Katie’s lawyer told PEOPLE, “This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family. Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest.”

We hope Tom and Katie will keep their divorce amicable for Suri’s sake!
