I don't remember much about my daughter's birth (my first). She came fast and sent me into shock. Thankfully my husband was able to help me record her story so we can tell her one day.
My son's birth however couldn't have been more "perfect".
Either way though, I ended up with a wonderful baby.

I, too, daydreamed about the birth of my first baby. I wrote out a birth plan and everything. BUT, my son had very different plans for us than we anticipated. At 36 weeks, I had a stage 2 placental abruption and had to have a "super-duper emergency c-section," as my doctor called it. Long story short, we both almost lost our lives that day. On top of that, a week after my c-section, I dehisced. I'm so thankful that he pulled through and is thriving today.
