6 weeks of a NICU stay with a preterm baby strenghthened our new marriage (under a year). My husband can be difficult to live with at times (I'm neat, he's messy) - but when we were dealing with "we can't get a stable airway on your son" - he proved to step up to the plate and take charge when I was dealing with post-delivery issues. Now we have an extremely healthy and strong little boy, but I look back to the beginning in awe at how much my husband was able to handle and how we grew from that experience. Having that type of experience really shows off how people truly are and I realized how blessed I am to have that type of man who stands by your side no matter what.

Now I feel kind of bad about being upset that he couldn't load the dishwasher right.... :)
