Kristin Cavallari Felt Like a ‘Slave’ to Pumping — Moms, Can You Relate?
Kristin Cavallari, the proud new mama to her 6-month-old son Camden Jack, admits she’s “happy” to be weaning her son off breastfeeding, admitting that “breastfeeding has been the hardest part of new motherhood.”
While tons of mothers can relate (and others can disagree), Kristin’s confession is totally honest, and to each mom, her own. She said, “it’s hard. It was the hardest part of the whole thing and no one tells you that. I was a slave to pumping.” And even though the new mom has stopped breastfeeding as a personal choice, she still credits early breastfeeding for helping her lose the baby weight after delivering. “I gained 25 pounds when I got pregnant but I’m a healthy eater. I worked out during my pregnancy and I was breastfeeding.”
But the former reality TV star and her husband-to-be, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Culter, have done their research — now, they’re giving their growing boy a “goat milk concoction that Jay found.”
Now that baby boy Culter’s dad is in the off-season, the engaged couple plan to focus on wedding planning, and maybe adding another to their brood. Saying that she’s not quite ready for another, their plan is still to expand sooner rather than later. She admits, “We want a big family so I think sooner than later we will have another one!”
Can you relate to Kristin’s breastfeeding struggle?
