‘Teen Mom’ Leah Messer-Calvert Reveals Baby’s Name — Is This the Latest Trend?
Photo: WetPaint / The BumpA few weeks ago, Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer-Calvert and her husband, Jeremy Calvert, welcomed their third daughter into the world. While mum was the word on the reality TV star’s birth, details are emerging now that reveal Leah’s third daughter arrived a little earlier than mom expected. A source close to the three-time mama said that baby girl “came a month early,” even though she “wasn’t due until March 11!” But now, mom and baby are both happy and healthy, relaxing at home with big sisters Aliannah and Aleeah.
So, what did Leah pick for baby’s name? Apparently she and her husband settled on Addalynn, which follows the A-theme Leah started with her ex-husband Corey Simms. And while the A-theme is really adorable, it’s not for me. I would have loved to see her choose a name that’s shorter and a compete change from the something that sounded similar to Aliannah or Aleeah. But, props to Leah and Jeremy for choosing a moniker that’s adorable and sweet!
Even though Leah has yet to officially confirm Addalynn’s debut, Leah did make comments on February 14 (three days after her baby’s birth), saying that she needs a tan now because she’s all “skinny and such.” Sounds to me like her postpartum feelings have her dreaming of the beach — and what better reason to take a post-baby birth babymoon, eh?
Is the letter naming trend for you? Or no?

No. I would want my future child(ren) to have individuality and independence.
My kids names are Noah and Naomi, I always thought it was tacky when I saw other people doing it! Then I had kids and I don’t know changed my mind but I love it.
Can you imagine these kids trying to learn to spell these made up names?
I don’t like name themes. These kids need to have their own identity. Especially since they’re on number 3 now. I had hoped she’d choose a J name for her third to mix things up a bit.
Leah’s great and I’m so happy for her. But she needs to start maturing a bit and choosing more traditional names. Something her kids can spell. Too many letters!
KC first off, the spelling is slightly different, but not much, from the original spelling. Why are long names bad? There are plenty of long “traditional” names too. Just because a name is longer doesn’t mean a child will struggle with spelling them. Kids do it with last names all the time. And I don’t see why maturity = traditional names. I personally don’t like traditional names. I don’t have one and I’m really glad.
Also, my siblings and I all have names that are similar and start with a B. Didn’t hinder us in having our own identity at all. It’s actually kind of fun.
