Get Maternity Fashion Tips — and Enter to Win This Dress from zulily!

This guest post is by Robin Propst, zulily maternity apparel buyer.
1. Don’t be afraid to explore your style!
If you weren’t expecting, you’d never spend nine months of your life in sweat pants, so why would you start now? Take the opportunity your new curves have given you to treat yourself to some new clothes. Let out your inner fashionista!
2. Fitted is a good thing.
Maternity fashion has changed. We have a lot more choices than the muumuus of decades past. Wearing form-fitting clothes shows that you’re a proud mom-to-be, and they’re flattering, too! Need a little extra room? Try side-ruched tops. They show off the natural curves of your beautiful body.
3. Horizontal stripes are actually flattering.
Many women have it ingrained in their minds that horizontal stripes are a big no-no, especially if you have any curves. Not true! When horizontal stripes are around the belly, they create a narrowing effect at the waist, actually making you look smaller!
4. Skinny jeans are a must-have!
Your legs are one of the smallest parts on your body when you’re pregnant, so skinny jeans show them off. If you’re a little uncomfortable wearing something snug, try them with a longer tunic.
5. Don’t forget to accessorize.
Nothing completes an outfit better than the appropriate accessories. Adding a lightweight scarf to a simple tee and jeans spices up the outfit and gives you that put-together look (even if it really only took five minutes to get ready!). Many maternity lines have complementary accessories, so be sure to check them out.
