I went through that last spring! My baby was 3. No diapers. No strollers. He was definitely a preschooler and not a toddler anymore and I mourned the change loss. Then we had an amazing summer of fun, carefree outings. And I celebrated the new season of life. Funny thing happened at the end of the summer - I found myself pregnant. Looks like there'll be at least one more baby in our house afterall!

Great list. My six year old is my baby, even though she isn't a baby anymore. And I live in the world of #11 AND #12. She can be a prickly pear, but she's also a tender doll and that more than makes up for the challenging moments. Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful list! As a Grandma of 9 (going on 10), I have a tendency to want to them stay little just a tiny bit more... but last weekend, while watching my 2 youngest grandsons (4-year old cousins) in the stands at a swim meet while their siblings competed, playing with each other for HOURS, talking, laughing, manipulating iPad minis like teenagers, making up songs, using bathrooms like pros... I finally had to relinquish the "baby" in both. Wow, the new baby is coming along at the perfect time for me!
