16 Baby Names Inspired by Last Night’s Biggest VMA Winners
Another weekend come and gone and with it, the MTV Video Music Awards. The VMAs are generally a good excuse to sit around the TV, watch some ridiculous pop stars do some insanely ridiculous things and see a few good performances by our favorite singers and songwriters. Last night’s show, unsurprisingly, was no exception. Of course, there were the moments we wish we could unsee (like Miley Cyrus twerking on Robin Thicke in plastic underpants) but then there were the moments that took our breath away (‘NSYNC REUNITED, Y’ALL!) — and sprinkled in there somewhere were 17 award winners.
For those of us searching for baby name inspiration, what better place to draw hints than from the list of champs?
Here are the winners we cheered on and the names that we loved most:

Bruno — inspired by the singer, Bruno Mars, who won for Best Male Video and Best Choreography.

Some names we’d suggest you skip?
Miley — the 20-year-old singer made headlines for all the wrong reasons this morning, after her risque performance slapped a whole lot of shock on our faces.
Robin — the “Blurred Lines” singer has made tons of headlines last night after his paired performance with Miley. That coupled with his Beetlejuice-inspired referee suit, I just cannot.
Taylor — after the camera’s captured the “I Knew You Were Trouble” singer mouthing “shut the f*** up” when her ex appeared on stage to present an award, I think her role model status dropped a few points.
Would you ever name your child after a pop star?
