Recall Alert! Baby Jogger Car Seat Adaptors

The CPSC, in conjunction with Baby Jogger, recalled 23,700 US and 6,5000 Canadian car seat adaptors for strollers due to a fall hazard for children. So far, Baby Jogger has received 47 reports of the car seat adaptor supports bar falling to the floor. Two infants have been injured, with bruises to fingers and toes.

The adaptors are sold in three different models and are used to secure a variety of infant car seats onto Baby Jogger strollers. The “single” model fits all single strollers, the “double” works on on double strollers and the “Select/Versa” fit adaptor fits both Select and Versa strollers. The adaptors consist of two U-shaped, black plastic adaptors which allow the support bars to attach onto the stroller. They’re secured in place by black nylon straps labeled A and B. Newer models of the adaptor only have four holes and are not included in the recall. To find out if you have a recalled model, look on the lower right hand corner of the original package. The manufacturing date can be fouund on a sticker on the bottom of the package.

The single stroller car seat adaptor is compatible with the: City Mini, City Mini GT, City Elite, City Micro, Summit VC/X3 and the F.I.T.

Baby Jogger car seat adaptors were sold at Buy Buy Baby, albeebaby.com, Amazon.com, BuyBuyBaby.com, Diapers.com and other online retailers from June 2012 through June 2013. The single adaptor sold for $60 and the double retailed for $100.
