‘Glee’ Star Heather Morris Welcomes a Baby Boy (With a Biblical Name!)
One of Glee‘s singing and dancing sensations has something new to sing about: Motherhood!
Heather Morris welcomed a baby boy over the weekend with her longtime love Taylor Hubbell.
The couple, who’ve been sweethearts since high school, haven’t been shy about their plans to spend forever together. In an interview with Fitness magazine two years ago, Morris — a former backup dancer for Beyonce (so. jealous.) — said, “I want to marry Taylor and have kids with him. I love acting, but if it affects my relationship, then I won’t continue.” Though baby came before marriage, we’re thinking that these two lovebird are over the moon with glee, err, joy.
As for baby’s name? The couple have reportedly named their baby boy Elijah, and there’s no word on whether or not he’ll take mom or dad’s last name as his own.
In 2010, Elijah, which means The Lord is My God, was the 22 most popular name in the US. Elijah’s always been known as the “it” biblical name for moms and dads — very much like Elijah was. He managed to raise the dead, bring fire down from the sky and was even accompanied to Heaven alongside chariots. The name, not just of biblical origin, also appears in the Talmud and the Koran. But if its roots are too trendy (or too religious) for you, there are a few other famous Elijah’s to think of: actor Elijah Wood, inventor Elijah McCoy and pro athlete Eli Manning (go Giants!).
