Congratulations are in order for three-time daddy Mark-Paul Gosselaar and his wife, Catriona McGinn! The couple welcomed their first child together yesterday, a rep for the doting daddy confirmed to People.

Of his newest arrival, Mark-Paul said, “We are overjoyed with the new addition to our family. We are madly in love with our little boy. He is healthy and just perfect — all we could ask for.” Is it just me or are celeb dads saying the sweetest things about their baby bundles lately?

So, what did the Saved the Bell star name his little guy? Though they kept mum on the sex of their baby, Gosselaar did drop a few hints that they were planning on a tasteful — but nontraditional — name. He said, “It is not traditional and not too quirky. It’s different, but it’s not something odd.” Is the suspense killing you too? Okay, okay, fine…

They picked Dekker Edward Gosselaar. I love the mix McGinn and her beau found by pairing an unusual first name with a strong, traditional middle name; it really adds some modern flair to the little guy’s moniker. Typically spelled Decker, it means “roofer” and in 2012, it ranked 1951 on the list of most popular baby names. Though it’s traditionally a boys name, it can be used for girls as well. In this case, we’re giving the new parents some major props for their out-of-the-box choice. All in all, it just flows together so nicely. The nickname “Dek” isn’t exactly commonplace, but it sounds sweet rolling off the tongue, doesn’t it?

Dekker joins big brother Michael, 9, and big sister Ava, 7 (Gosselaar’s kids from a previous relationship).

Congratulations to the Mark-Paul, Catriona, Michael and Ava on their new baby brother!
