Yesterday, pouched-food providers Plum Organics announced a voluntary recall on specific products in their Baby Stage 2, Tots Mish Mash and Kids prepared food lines. The products were recalled after discovering a manufacturing defect that may cause spoilage (which means the spoiled pouches will swell and look bloated).

How to know if you have a recalled pouch? Check the “Best By” dates. Recalled products best by dates anywhere between 8/05/14-12/8/14, as well as the letters “AT” listed.

What to do if you have the recalled pouches? Keep the products away from children. If you’ve purchased the recalled pouches, contact Plum Organics Consumer Hotline at (866) 495-3774 or by emailing info@plumorganics.com to request a product replacement voucher.

A letter from Neil Grimmer, CEO and President of Plum Organics was posted on the brand’s website yesterday, detailing why the products were recalled and what to do if you have the recalled pouches at home. You can read the full text of the letter here.
