Talk about an icebreaker! Two sets of moms gave birth to two sets of twins in 2013 and 2014. (And you thought your New Year’s celebration was good, right?)

Yaleni Santos Tohalino gave birth to her baby girl, Lorraine Yaleni Begazo, at 11:58 pm, December 31, 2013. Just three minutes later, at 12:01 on January 1, 2014, her brother, Brandon Ferdinando Begazo was born. Proud mama Yaleni welcomed her babies at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.

Doting daddy Warren Begazo told ABCNews.com, “I feel wonderful, full of joy and happiness and a full sense of realization. This is her first children ever, and they’re beautiful and she’s really happy.” Aw! Yay for mama. He added, “We really did celebrate New Year’s Eve.”

A hop, skip and a jump away, Lindsay Salgueiro delivered her twin daughters in Toronto at Trillium Health Partners-Credit Valley Hospital. Baby girl Gabriela Salgueiro was born on December 31, 2013 at 11:52 pm. Eight minutes and 38 seconds later, her “younger” sister Sophia Salgueiro was born. (The sweet sisters are pictured above just after their adorable arrivals.)

The proud mama gushed, “They kind of got that golden ticket. They’ve got different birthdays. They’re going to be best friends for life.” Lindsay added, “Not a bad way to end the year and not a bad a way to start the year off.”

No, mama, not a bad way at all!
