It’s a Girl for Daphne Oz!
Looks like new daddy John Jovanovic is officially outnumbered! Daphne Oz, host of The Chew, delivered a baby girl late last night!
Baby Girl Oz-Jovanovic was born at 10:03 pm and weighed in at 6 pounds, 13 ounces. She was 20.5 inches long. Daddy said that mom and baby, who’s the first for the couple, are “doing very well.”
The couple, who chose to keep their baby’s gender all throughout their pregnancy, have not yet released details on what they’ve picked for their little girl’s moniker, but here’s hoping it’s a real charmer!
And though her pregnancy was without complications or any big surprises, there was definitely one thing that Daphne and John didn’t expect: to fall deeper in love! Daphne said, “I didn’t feel like my husband and I could be any more in love. Being pregnant, it has made our relationship so much better and just deeper. We are so connected now. And that’s been so much fun because it was such an unanticipated and special result.” How sweet, right?
Mama even admitted that she was a little nervous about becoming a mom, saying: “It’s the first grandchild for my parents and my husband’s parents and it’s also the first great-grandchild on both sides of our families, so everyone is over the moon. This child is going to be so spoiled! I’m also the first of my friends to have a baby, so I didn’t really know much going into this about what to expect; you just know that you’re having a baby so things are going to be really different. I’m a little nervous because I’m 27, so I still feel like I’m in that post-college, not 100 percent adults stage; you know, not totally defined by Girls but in some ways, I still am. And I’m so lucky to have a great group of girlfriends and we make it a priority to see each other and spend time together, but I know that once baby arrives, things are going to change dramatically. It’s not so much that I’m scared — just so interested to see how capable I am of balancing everything.
It’s been so nice to go to prenatal classes and meet other moms-to-be in my area — they’re the best resources on the best parks to go to, where to buy baby supplies. I’m sort of the guinea pig for all my friends!”
Congratulations to Daphne, John and the whole Oz and Jovanovic families! We can’t wait to meet your newest addition!
