Baby Meets Her Soldier Dad for the First Time With a Pop-Song-Inspired Sign
Many soldiers stationed overseas sadly don’t always get to see their children being born, or get to meet them until whenever they come home. Cole Tesar, a US Army Specialist stationed in Afghanistan, was deployed for nine months last July, and watched his wife, Logan Tesar, give birth to their daughter Harper via a webcam from overseas. Until recently, he only saw his daughter in photos and online chats for six months.
However, when Cole returned home to Nebraska and was ready to meet his 7-month-old baby girl, he was greeted by Harper with an adorable sign taped to her stroller. The bright pink poster read, “Hey I just met you and this is crazy, but my name’s Harper and I’m your baby!” This is definitely our favorite rendition of Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” to date… and now, it’s stuck in our heads all over again.
The sweet photo, which Logan shared on Facebook, went viral and has now been seen by more than 1.5 million people.
Do you love the way that Harper surprised her dad?
