Being a new parent is an all-around challenging job, from getting hardly any sleep to juggling what feels like a million new concerns all at once. So the big question is — when do you up the ante from leaving your baby at home for your first night out to leaving your baby at home for a vacation?

Prince William and Kate Middleton are currently in the Maldives in the Indian Ocean for a week-long vacation — and didn’t take 7-month-old Prince George with them, who’s reportedly has a new nanny and his grandparents caring for him while his parents are away.

The royal couple has come under fire from some social media users for being away from Prince George for so long and at such a young age. On one hand, we can see some couples not wanting to leave their baby with a caregiver or grandparent until a certain age, but on the other hand, some couples enjoy recharging and reconnecting with each other despite having a baby at home. Other couples wait to take a vacation — until their baby can come with them.

What do you have to say about going on vacation without your baby?
