Breastfeeding is not only one of the hardest things a new mom can do, it’s also one of the most beautiful — but not in a necessarily traditional glamorous way. Arizona mom of twins, Sky Boucher, proved that point by posting an unapologetic photo on Facebook that’s created a stir of controversy and has gone viral. Sky is tandem breastfeeding her daughter, Eloise, and her son, Milo, with stretch marks visible on her belly, and posted an important message along with the picture.

“Art isn’t always about whats aesthetically pleasing. Sometimes you need to show people reality. This is real sh*t. This is what life is after partying and being a wild thin teen and reading bullsh*t books about werewolves. It isn’t clear skin and skinny bodies and free time forever.

Its stretch marks, wrinkles, sh*tty baby diapers and laying in weird ass positions to keep your children happy because you love them more than your comfort or your smooth pert body. Its being overweight and having sex, wrinkly fat sweaty real sh*t adult parent long term relationship sex and then trying to slip in half an hour of sleep before your kid flips sh*t at 1 a.m.

And it’s poetic and awesome. F*ck your skinny smooth boring ass ideal of what life should be that you ripped out of some dumbass teen Cosmo. My life is g*ddamn beautiful even if my belly is a wreck.”

While Sky’s image may be jarring to some, her depiction of what being a new mom of twins is 100-percent honest and realistic. The photo has been met with positive, encouraging comments on Facebook and social media, but has also been criticized as “not being art” and “nasty.”
