8 Hot New Baby Products from the New York Baby Show

The New York Baby Show is a fun annual event, where new and expectant parents get to check out the latest baby products and services — things that are offered in New York and nationwide. And I got to scope it out (for the third year in a row!) These products were some of the latest offerings that you’ve got to see!

Mamas and Papas Urbo2 Special Edition Donna Wilson

I couldn't stop admiring this of-the-moment fox print by the British designer. You can also purchase a footmuff and carrycot in the whimsical fabric. Us.MamasandPapas.com

Beech-Nut's new baby foods

Beech-Nut challenged parents at the show to taste their new baby foods, and they were a refreshing treat to walk around and snack on! (I had the apple kiwi.) I've bought baby food and made my own, and this is the closest to homemade I've seen in a packaged puree. They have no additives -- just fruits and veggies. Beechnut.com

trioBike

This sleek-looking way to tote kids around when you're bicycling is more compact than some bike trailers. Plus it keeps them in the front where you can watch more closely. Safer -- and just so cool! Triobike.com

TwelveLittle Diaper bag

I see a lot of diaper bags and these really caught my eye! They are so stylish, made from baby-safe materials, and there's built-in pocket to separately store dirty clothes and other messes -- genius! Nothing else gets dirty, and it's easy to wipe clean later on. I particularly love the Courage backpack (pictured here) and the Carry Love Tote. TwelveLittle.com

Quinny Buzz Xtra

The latest edition of this popular stroller has tougher wheels and a soft seat for baby. Best of all is how it unfolds -- completely automatically. No struggle! (You have to see it in action!) Quinny.com

FitBump workout wear

I know, I know. You don't want to spend a ton on maternity workout wear, since you won't be able to use it after baby. But FitBump clothes are different. They're made for before, during and after pregnancy. There were not-pregnant-at-all women wearing it at the show -- and it looked great on them. And it even fits in late pregnancy. I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it in person. FitBump360.com

Chicco NextFit Zip

We all know toddlers' car seats can get pretty messy, and this upgrade to the popular Chicco NextFit helps make the messiness more manageable. The fabric (higher-end than the regular NextFit) zips off the car seat, so you can throw it in the washing machine without having to uninstall the entire seat. ChiccoUSA.com

VuSee

A dad invented this little plastic shelf after finding it nearly impossible to position his video baby monitor camera into the perfect position. Most standard cameras lock right in, and then you just stick the shelf into the corner of your wall and voila! A customized birds-eye view of baby. VuSee.co
