Three-year-old Sophie, the littlest member of the Armly Taekwondo Club in Leeds, UK, has made a big impact.
The club shared a video on their Facebook page of Sophie enthusiastically reciting the martial arts creed, and unsurprisingly, it was a huge hit. We can’t decide what our favorite part is: Sophie’s tiny ponytail, her pint-sized taekwondo uniform, or of course, her passionate speaking. A word or two (or more) may be mispronounced, but the sentiment is there — she is one amazing student. Ricky Lam, the master instructor, praised her efforts to the Yorkshire Evening Post: “For a three-year-old I’ve never seen this type of focus and dedication. Her attitude is fantastic.”
Sophie joined the Tiny Champions group of the martial arts school to follow in the footsteps of her six-year-old brother, but now she’s making a name for herself. She’s also giving the school an awesome PR boost, according to Ricky Lam, who said that membership in the Tiny Champions division has spiked since Sophie’s arrival.
The little white-belt champ is surprisingly motivational, and exactly what we needed to power through our Friday. We bet it won’t be long until Sophie is teaching her own class. Sign us up!
