Just two days after welcoming her first child with boyfriend, Kanye West, the rumor mill is abuzz with name predictions for Kim Kardashian’s baby girl! A source close to Kardashian and her beau, West, leaked to E! News that baby girl’s name would “start with a K” — but that’s not all. Early reports suggest that baby girl West looks just like her mama! The source, who blabbed only to E! News, told the entertainment network that though baby girl will take on her daddy’s last name, she is definitely a Kardashian, saying, “She had dark hair. She looks just like Kim!” And I don’t know about y’all, but I literally can’t wait to meet her! All kidding aside, Kim is a breathtakingly beautiful woman, so it’s all the more exciting that her daughter would take after her in appearance.

Even though Kardashian went into labor five weeks before her due date, Khloe tweeted to fans and well wishers that both mommy and baby are happy and healthy, tweeting, “I can not even begin 2describe the miracle that is now apart of our family. Mommy/baby are healthy &resting. We appreciate all of the love. More info will come when the time is right! Thank you all for understanding! We love you all dearly! Overwhelmed with love right now.” The momager of the bunch — and three-time grandma! — Kris Jenner was absolutely glowing at the Daytime Emmy Awards, where she gushed, “”We are all good and extremely happy and thrilled for the new baby. [The baby] is doing great and beautiful. So very exciting.” What’s more, according to HollywoodLife.com, a source close to Kanye exlusively told the site that Yeezy is on board for a K-name, too, saying, “All I know is that they’re going to name it something with a K.”

People reports that baby girl’s middle name could be Donda in honor of Kanye’s late mother, which would be a beuatiful mix of the two families — a little something to keep the Kardashian naming tradition alive while at the same time keeping a piece of Kanye’s mom with baby forever. If that’s the route they choose to go, I think it’s absolutely heartwarming.

Now, back to baby’s rumored name. Because the entire Kardashian Kamp is on lock-down when it comes to Kim’s delivery and name details, we took matters into our own hands. Assuming that Kim and Kanye did settle on a K-inspired moniker to match their own, here are our top picks for baby girl West:

Kaden

Kade

Kaia

Kai

Kail

Kali

Kameron

Kana

Kanan

Kande

Kole

Kasen

Kasia

Kaya

Keira

Kellan

Kerr

Kalian — inspired by Kardashian’s Armenian heritage

Kassel — inspired by a city in Germany, because much of the reality TV star’s pregnancy was spent abroad

Kora

Klara

Keagan

Kala – inspired by Kalamata, a city in Greece where Kardashian and her family traveled to during her pregnancy on a family vaction

Any ideas what Kimye named their baby?

Yesterday, news broke that the Dewan-Tatum’s expanded their twosome to a threesome with the beautiful arrival of a baby girl on Friday evening in London. At first, the gushing parents were mum on every detail on baby’s delivery — but now, the doting daddy has revealed that they’ve, in fact, given birth to an adorable (no doubt about that!) little girl.

As for baby’s moniker they’ve chosen Everly Tatum — and I can’t lie, I’m head over heels with their pick! Aside from the obvious (like oh, I dunno: just who could disagree with Channing Tatum about anything?!), the name Everly is relatively unheard of in the celebrity realm, which makes it all the more unique and fabulous as their choice for their sweet new arrival. It’s English in origin and to be honest, it just flows together: Everly Tatum. If down the road, little Ev chooses to opt to pick-up mom’s maiden name too, even Everly Dewan-Tatum sounds magical.

I also love that throughout her entire pregnancy, Jenna was very honest about not wanting to know the sex of their baby. The couple confessed to People.com that they were trying really hard to keep baby’s gender a surprise. Channing even told E! News, “It’s one of the only real surprises that you’re ever gonna get that’s legit” so I love the fact that they chose a gender-neutral name like Everly even more. It would have worked for a male or a female, but I think it’s a sweet, elegant, classy name for a girl. She’ll grow into it as she get’s older and it’s innocent enough to carry her all the way through childhood.

Because the Dewan-Tatum’s chose a name so out of the norm, we rounded up a few more English-origin names to consider for your baby’s arrival. Added bonus? Most of these work for boys or girls, so if you’re keeping gender a surprise, you won’t have to skimp out on your favorite names!

Check ‘em out:

Adeline

Afton

Addison

Andie

Ashby

Ashton

Avery

Bailey

Baker

Beckett

Cal

Carter

Dahlia

Darby

Delancey

Eara

Early

Easton

Edeline

Edie

Effie

Elandra

Eliot

Evan

Gale

Garner

Garnet

Greyson

Did you choose a gender neutral name?

The former first daughter, Jenna Bush Hager, and her husband, Henry Hager, became proud parents to a darling little girl with a long, historical and very family-oriented name on Saturday, April 13th in New York City!

The Today show correspondent and her husband chose Margaret Laura “Mila” Hager for their sweet new addition and in case you were wondering, baby’s girl’s name is every ounce as American as her family roots! Baby girl Hager was named after her grandmothers, and I’ve got to hand it to her: she’s got some options when it comes to choosing which name she’ll go by. I’m a little partial to Margaret for when she’s an adult, but I’m pretty taken with Mila. It’s unique, cute and a far cry from some other celebrity name picks. Not hard to pronounce, either. Survey says yes to Mila!

Little Miss Mila is also the first granddaughter for former President George W. Bush and grandpa — and grandma! — couldn’t be more excited at the arrival of their granddaughter. The Prez said in a statement, “Laura and I are thrilled to announce the birth of our grandchild, Margaret Lauare ‘Mila’ Hager.” He went on to say, “We met our beautiful granddaughter today. Jenna and Mila are healthy. And our family is elated.”

Grandpa George hasn’t exactly been mum on the topic of grandchildren, either. In 2010, he told AARP Magazine that he was, “a little disappointed it hasn’t happened yet. But the more disappointment I show, the less likely it is things are going to happen on the time table I want.” Geez! Talk about an impatient Pop! I’m sure the moment he first laid eyes on that sweet little girl, it was worth the two-year wait!

And here’s the proof: they posed for this super sweet photo just hours after she was born and you can just see the excitement on grandpa’s face:

Photo via the Today Show

Heavens, how cute!!!

Congratulations to Jenna, Henry and grandma and grandpa Bush!

Were your parents impatient when it came to grandchildren?

These royals, y’all. I can’t keep up with them. One minute Kate Middleton and Prince William are having a baby boy and the next, they’re planning to call their baby girl “Princess“. But it looks like the royal guessing game might finally be over! (Thank Heavens, ’cause my heart can’t take much more.)

Reportedly, a royal insider spilled the beans that if Will and Kate have a boy, they’ve already got a named picked out.

According to the Daily Star, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have picked Philip as baby boy’s moniker, and it’s every ounce as sweet as the reported name pick they’ve made for baby girl, should they have a ‘she’ instead of a ‘he’.

The name is, of course, a nod to Prince William’s grandfather, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, and it’s also a testament to William’s full name, too: Prince William Arthur Philip. But it doesn’t stop there, either. Will’s dad, Charles, is also named Charles Philip Arthur George. So, if baby is to follow the royal flush, his name would be: Philip William Charles Arthur, after his great-grandfather, daddy and grandfather.

I’m actually quite partial to Philip. It’s sweet, elegant, graceful and it works for a baby boy as well as grown man. It’s a name with weight and value. Though I don’t love the nickname “Phil”, I could get used to it — for royalty, that is.

And as the race for baby’s name heats up (and Kate’s due date draws nearer), the bookies are placing their own bets. Odds in England are 20:1 on the name Philip. No words are what the going rate is baby girl‘s name… but there’s still time for the bets to roll out on that one!

Keep up with our Royal Bump Watch 2k13 on The Bump twitter by tweeting your Kate sightings, Kate musings and all-around affection for Kate Middleton, Prince William and the royal baby by using #TheRoyalBump!

Oh, mama! Kerri Walsh Jennings became a third time mama over the weekend, welcoming her beautiful baby girl, Scout Margery, into the world on Saturday, April 6th.

The mama, who opted for another natural birth (her third!), said that she and her husband feel “so blessed to have this beautiful new addition to our family. We cherish out lil Scout already and can’t wait to watch her as she grows in this world alongside her sweet big brothers.” Baby girl Scout joins Joey, 3, and Sundance, 2.

While mama and babe are “healthy and resting” in the hospital, mom and dad sent a special thank you to all of their fans and well-wishers, adding that they “appreciate them all so very much.” And now that mom’s brought another beautiful baby into the world, she’s got her eyes on another gold! She said, “It’s always been my dream in life to be a working mom and have this amazing career,” and since she’s got both down to a science, it’s time to focus on the 2016 Olympic games. “My husband and I want to keep playing and go for the gold in Rio,” she said. Seriously — this woman can do it all, y’all!

But let’s focus on baby’s girl’s moniker for a minute, shall we? It’s not your average name, but personally, I love, love, LOVE it. It’s sweet, timeless and a nod to one of the most powerful books ever written, “To Kill a Mockingbird”, by my girl, Harper Lee. No word on whether or not Kerri was inspired by the book, but still, I can’t help hearing the name without thinking of how courageous and ahead-of-its-time Lee’s story truly was. The novel is a story that stays with every generation that reads it — it transcends time and generation… and I think it’s the perfect match for a baby girl who’s got such strong parents raising her. Kudos, mom and dad! We love it.

In fact, we love it so much, we’ve got a few more baby names inspired by some of the most poignant novels of our time:

Corrine — “The Color Purple”

Daisy – “The Great Gatsby”

Elinor — “Sense and Sensibility”

Josephine — “Little Women”

Leona — “Love in the Time of Cholera”

Adele — “The Awakening”

Annemarie — “Number the Stars”

Lydia — “Pride and Prejudice”

Mayella — “To Kill a Mockingbird”

Pearl – “The Scarlet Letter”

Atticus – “To Kill a Mockingbird”

Conrad — “Much Ado About Nothing”

Holden — “The Catcher in the Rye”

Darrell — “The Outsiders”

Huck — “Adventures of Huckleberry Finn”

Phineas — “A Separate Peace”

Archer – “The Age of Innocence”

Finch — “To Kill a Mockingbird”

Everybody’s favorite mama-to-be Kate Middleton is apparently taking baby name suggestions!

The Duchess of Cambridge, while visiting the Quarriers Stopover Project is Scotland, told reporters that even though she and her husband, Prince William, have a short list for both boy and girl names, “it’s very difficult” to pick one! She even joked that her friends keep texting her name suggestions.

Kate, girlfriend, I’m here for you — let me help you. Direct message me your number. I’ve got ideas, girl. And we’ve got a dozen and one name predictions for your little girl (or boy!) come July. We even picked this beautiful, classic and elegant name choice that’s got family values written all over it! It’s a sweet nod to all the women in your lives and I promise you’ll love it.

I actually love that Kate is tuned in to what her friends are saying — and taking suggestions. It just proves that they’re not aiming for a name that no one’s ever heard of, or planning to name their baby-to-be after a direction on a compass. I’m sure that Will and Kate are getting only the best suggestions from their mates (but seriously Kate, my suggestion. Just think about it!)

Sporting one of her staple wood coats (because let’s face it, when doesn’t Kate step out sporting her killer maternity wardrobe?), the Duchess shared that even though she’s not due until midsummer, she knows that she might give birth earlier — or later — than doctors expect her to. Look at that! In her second trimester and already got those mommy instincts down pat!

She said of her due date, “It’s around mid-July, but apparently babies have their own agenda.”

After attending the event, onlookers noted that the Princess and her Prince were “very relaxed and really in touch with the young people” they met. Of course they were! I swear, once baby comes, Kate and Will are going to be the most down-to-earth, honest parents. Royals! They’re just like us!

There’s a new girl on the block, y’all!

Beverley Mitchell and her husband, Michael Cameron, welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world on Thursday, March 28.

Mitchell’s sweet little missus made her debut weighing 5 lbs., 15 oz and measured out to be 18½ inches long. Her proud new mama gushed to People saying, “We have fallen instantly in love and can’t wait to be the best parents we can to our beautiful little angel.”

And now, for baby girl’s name. It seems like mom and dad found inspiration in a few K-themed names and gave their little girl a sweet moniker that’s adorable and elegant: Kenzie Lynne Cameron. I love how they picked a short and sweet name for their newest addition. I’m also loving that Kenzie is sometimes used as a nickname for girl’s named Mackenzie, but in this case, I’m really loving it as a full first name. Her middle name is adorable too. Props, mama! The Bump approves!

As for their new role as parents, the rep told People, “Mom, Kenzie and Dad are settling in perfectly!”

Congratulations on your beautiful baby bundle!

Oh, heavens y’all. If you thought that mama-to-be Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend, Kanye West, were going to keep in line with the Kardashian naming tradition, you got another thing coming!

In the past, Kardashian admitted to E! News that she and her boyfriend were still “thinking about” whether or not they’d bestow baby with another “K” name, even saying that she has to discuss that with her “boyfriend to see where we are. But we’ll keep the name private, I think, whenever we decide.” Uh, sorry Kim, but privacy and celebrities aren’t really a “thing”… ever.

The expectant mom, who comes from a notoriously long line of “K” named siblings, and her beau, West, both have “K” monikers, which makes the pressure to give their baby girl (or boy!) a K-name all the more serious. But Kimye, apparently, has another plan.

Though their little bundle isn’t due until July, the duo has reportedly been toying around with breaking the “K” naming tradition — much like Kardashian’s big sister Kourtney did with her kids, Mason and Penelope. There’s no word on what Kim wants to name baby, but Kanye has already picked a name — and it’s more out there than we ever imagined!

So, what does the rapper plan to name the heiress (or heir!) to his throne? According to The Sun, Yeezy is pretty fond of the name North. As in, “Hey, we’re traveling north!” or, “Do you know what direction the North Star is?” or even better, “Canada is north of here.”

And if you haven’t already put two and two together, allow me. The baby’s full name would be: North West. Yup. North… West.

The reason behind West’s name pick is that he “thinks it sounds good with his surname.” And, to be honest, I have to agree. Nothing says I have a good sense of direction like naming your kid North West.

Regardless, Kanye gets points for originality. I don’t think I know of any celebrities — or anybody at all, to be honest — considering that name for their baby-to-be. The pick, too, is very in-tune with West’s eccentric personality, and I think it’s simple enough to be a good fit for baby.

What do you think of their reported name pick?

The NCAA tournament is upon us and I, like many non-hoops fans, will fill out my NCAA bracket, hand in my ten bucks, and slowly watch as my name plummets to the bottom of the rankings in my pool. Perhaps my annual demise can be linked to the fact that I choose my winning teams based on jersey color, mascot fierceness, or whether or not I’ve visited that city. One year, I came in so far behind that I was actually given my money back as consolation.

Why, then, would I turn to NCAA brackets, something I have had absolutely no success in navigating, to help me select the names of my triplets before they were born? Because I had no earthly idea what else I should do.

One and Done

My husband and I had played the name game before prior to the birth of our first born. Like most parents, we each had our own opinions on the names we liked and after countless hours of discussion, we settled on what I believe to be a championship first name: Fletcher.

For us, Fletcher was the perfect combination of all the things we coveted in a name. It was unique without being odd; a nod to pop culture without being trendy. We combined it with a family middle name we both loved, James, and, voila, our son had a name: Fletcher James Coblentz.

Now you might be asking, why did we need an elaborate process the second time around? Aside from the obvious problem of needing thrice as many names, we truly felt like we left it all on the court with Fletch. I even tried willing our second baby to be a girl because we already had a female winner chosen. When we found out that not only was our next child not a girl, but that we were about to have three more boys, well, we needed a plan.

Selection Sunday: Mom Makes a Committee of One

We started by throwing all our ideas on the table. I searched books, websites, and our family trees. As for my husband, I think he went through the starting line-ups of all his favorite sports teams, though he’d never admit it. Since we couldn’t come anywhere near sixty five choices, all names were awarded an at-large bid and we started in the Round of 32. As the sole carrier of three human beings, I bestowed the privilege of seeding the names to myself. Not surprisingly, many of my favorites were slotted against his stinkers. My husband did have a Cinderella story or two but let’s face it, they very rarely go all the way.

When it comes to names, points aren’t earned with lay-ups, three pointers, or foul shots, but they can distinguish themselves in subtler ways. We started with our own preferences. Obviously, names that we both liked moved ahead of those with only 50% support. Next we said each name out loud, with each of us doing our best to make the names we disliked sound goofy. Then we combined each name with our last name. Some of our favorites fell out here. My husband and I both love the name Cole, but we could never get around how it sounded like a stutter when said with our last name, C…C…C…Co..Cole Coblentz. Next came possible nicknames and/or ways that future children could possibly mock our child with the name in question. Our four year– old was a huge help here — if there was a way to rhyme a name with anything involving a potty or poop, he let us know.

The Sweet Sixteen: Will it be a Diaper Dandy or Walter Wally?

Once we had our Sweet Sixteen, we had to be even more critical of names we each liked. This meant being honest about family names. As a grown, self-assured adult, I had to remind myself how long my son would carry his name before he could appreciate the sentimentality of being named after his great-great-grandfather. Thus fell Torkel (you’re welcome sons).

Further vetting came by thinking about the child, teenager and adult who would bear that moniker. I tried picturing a baby Walter, somehow he always had facial hair. Wally works for a baby, so I tried picturing an adult Wally in my mind, but when I did, I became convinced he would spend most of his adulthood living in our basement. Some of the victories at this level took some research. Jacob is a great name but after a little digging we found that Jacob is and has been the No. 1 name for boys for the last decade. I fancy myself a champion of the underdog, so out went Jacob.

The Elite Eight: Names Need Rhythm Too

Going from the Elite Eight to the Final Four meant applying some very personal criteria. We each shared our histories with any of the contenders. Dexter faltered here because of its recent association with a serial killer, and we lost Logan because of a past middle school crush. The remaining names that couldn’t be linked to our former gym teachers were put to the cadence test. In basketball, it’s difficult to say why a shooter falls in or out of a rhythm; with names it’s more tangible. When we combined first names with middle names, they had to flow together so that the names rolled off the tongue.

The Final Four: Our Own Dream Team

Usually at this point in the NCAA tournament, I pretend that I forgot all of my picks to avoid the embarrassment of admitting the majority of them were knocked out in Round One. Fortunately, for my sons, the results of our names bracket were much less mortifying.

Since our soon to be team was literally in my “court”, my husband gave me the final cut, which left us with Cooper Dillon, Hudson Lars and Nathan Lee. Like our 2007 Champ, Fletcher’s brothers’ names are a blend of family and personal significance, and are at the same time off-the-beaten-path without being bizarre. I’m so happy with the results that I may even try my hand at a real bracket again this year, then again, with triplets, ten dollars is at least a day’s worth of diapers. Okay, maybe I won’t…
