The big day has arrived for Giuliana and Bill Rancic. Early this morning, the couple welcomed their son Edward Duke into the world. Both Giuliana and Bill were in the delivery room with the gestational carrier for the birth, which was just under 4 hours.

Last night, Bill ambiguously tweeted “It’s Game Time…,” causing followers and fans to wonder if the baby had arrived. Today he confirmed the news.

“The “Duke” has landed,” Bill tweeted. “Edward Duke Rancic was welcomed into the world last night at 7lbs 4oz. G & I feel blessed beyond words…We did it!”

The couple has been open about their struggle to conceive. On Giuliana & Bill, viewers watched as the couple went through unsuccessful IVF treatments and a tragic miscarriage. In March, however, things took a turn when the two announced that they were having a child via gestational carrier. Through this process, the child is biologically Giuliana’s and Bill’s.

Here’s to the happy couple and their baby boy.

Big congrats to Giuliana and Bill Rancic — they’re expecting a baby! The couple announced their big news on The Today Show this morning. Giuliana was diagnosed with breast cancer last fall but isn’t letting her illness get in the way of starting a family. The baby is due this summer via a gestational carrier — that means the child is biologically Giuliana and Bill’s.

Giuliana and Bill had banked two embryos before she was diagnosed with cancer and one of them resulted in a pregnancy. The couple didn’t reveal too much about their gestational carrier to protect her privacy, but said that she’s married with two children and they visit her every month.
