Since news of the royal baby first spread across the airwaves (and the Atlantic!), celebrities and commoners alike having been serving up some of their very best unsolicited parenting advice for the expectant mom and dad! Advice ranged from which pillow worth investing in to baby names to what to look forward to as the big day approaches, seems like everywhere, someone has some tips for the Duchess and her growing bump.

Famous reality TV star Snooki told Kate, “Enjoy your pregnancy and be excited. Enjoy your time at home – or the castle, in her case.” She also famously suggested Middleton use a Boppy pillow in the event that she breastfeeds her child. Snooki added, “every new mom should have one.”

Snooki even went so far as to remind Kate that tough times lie ahead, after the baby comes, but she assures the Duchess that “you’ll get to know him/her, keep them safe and fall more in love each day.” Kind of obvious, no?

And the advice just didn’t end there. Recently, English business magnate Richard Branson told the couple that the baby will bring “the happiest days of your life to look forward to!”

But perhaps the most interesting piece of advice came from Popstar Ed Sheeran. Thinking way down the road, he had some very specific baby name advice, saying, “I just think it’s time for someone in the Royal Family to have a rock ’n’ roll name for their kids. Call it Ziggy or Twig. This is the time. If ever’s the time to do it, it is now.”

Quite a unique crowd that’s come out to give the Duke and Duchess some parenting advice, huh? Think they’ll listen?

What was the most interesting news story you read this week?

A baby is on the way for Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard!

Monday morning, a rep for the couple confirmed the news to People magazine. The pair have been dating since 2007 and say they always knew children would be in their future.

“They’re so excited — they’re both ecstatic. They can’t wait to become parents!” a friend of the couple says. “Kristen had a little bit of morning sickness early on but she just started shooting the second season of House of Lies and is feeling great now.”

But will Kristen and Dax walk down the aisle before the baby arrives? We think not. The House of Lies actress and Parenthood star are both strong advocates for legalizing gay marriage and have said they won’t wed until same-sex marriage is legal in their home state of California.

Congrats to the happy couple! We can’t wait to see how cute — and funny — this baby turns out to be!

This morning, Beverley Mitchell, star of the Secret Life of the American Teenager (if you’re nostalgic like, us, you probably also know her from 7th Heaven) announced that she is expecting her first child in April.

She explains her first signs of pregnancy: “My sense of smell was off the charts, to the point where I could smell a kid’s dirty diaper from the other side of a restaurant,” Beverley tells People magazine. Eventually she went to the doctor, who told her the good news. Still, Beverley was hesitant to believe the results.

“I was like, ‘No, it can’t be that,’” the star says.”I took seven pregnancy tests. I went to the doctor and had two more tests and they were like, ‘Bev, usually when the first one comes out positive, the rest of them will all say the same thing.’”

Beverley and her husband, accountant Michael Cameron, celebrated the news with a trip to Ravello, Italy, where the couple wed in 2008. While there, they also attended the wedding of Beverley’s former co-star and friend, Jessica Biel. But Beverley made sure she didn’t spill the news until after the nuptials.

“Jess was one of the first to know [the baby news]. I started crying,” Beverley says. “It was really exciting to share that with Auntie Jess.”

Congrats to Beverley and her husband on the amazing news — they must be in heaven (sorry, we couldn’t resist)!

This week, The Bump caught up with actress and amazing mom Tia Mowry. During a party promoting InGenuity‘s new washable play yard, the of Cree, 15-months, took some  time to talk to The Bump about her favorite baby products, favorite family traditions, and favorite mom moment.

The Bump: How old is Cree now?

Tia Mowry: He’s 15 months. It’s going by so fast. I just want to put him in a little box so he can slow down! Haha. His little chubby cheeks are slowly going away and I’m just like, “no! I want you to be a chunk munk forever!”

TB: Oh my gosh, I love when babies have big cheeks. I think those are the only baby pictures of me that I liked.

TM: Oh, I know! I’m constantly kissing his cheeks! But he’s getting lean now. We just went to the pediatrician, and Cree is the average size of a 2-year-old and he’s only 15 months. He’s greater than the 95^th percentile for height. It’s crazy.

TB: Well congratulations! It sounds like he’s going to be a handsome boy.

TM: Aw, thank you!

TB: So I took at a look at the new line of InGenuity products, and they are amazing! Do you have a preference?

TM: I love the washable play yard! There are so many play yards out there, but they aren’t machine washable. I know I personally spend a lot of time hand washing things to make sure they’re clean, and I still worry that it’s not clean enough. But this product, you can take everything off – the mattress, the changing table, everything—and throw it in the wash. It’s practical, quick, and easy which is perfect for moms.

TB: That’s true. And if someone else is watching the baby, it’s easy for them to clean too.

TM: Exactly! Cree always goes to Grandma’s house once a month and this is perfect for that. But I also like the soothing station. It’s important for parents to have some hands-free moments to do what they need to do, so having an entertainment system for the child is great.

TB: Not to mention it’s super soft! I touched it and just wanted to wrap myself in the material.

TM: I know! What can’t we have something like that to put us to sleep?

TB: Because then we’d never wake up. Haha.

TM: That’s so true.

TB: So now that fall has officially arrived, what are some of your favorite family traditions?

TM: I love Thanksgiving. We always spend Thanksgiving together, but every year we rotate home. One year we’ll have it at my house, another year we’ll have it at Tamera’s house, and the next year we’ll have it at my mother’s house. Then after dinner, we head out and go see a movie. It’s so nice and so relaxing.

TB: That sounds perfect. I think Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.

TM: Me too. I mean you’re just sitting around and eating food. You can just relax.

TB: Now I know this isn’t Cree’s first Halloween, but now that he’s a little older do you have any plans?

TM: We’re actually going to a pumpkin patch on Monday, and I can’t wait. I might put him in his costume. He’s going as a boxer this year. But I want to buy him a second costume.

TB: You should!

TM: You think? I figured he could wear one to hang out in during the day and one to wear when eh goes out at night. Maybe something a little warmer.

TB: That’s a great idea. You need to do it now before he gets older and doesn’t want to dress up at all.

TM: Exactly. But I’m so excited for Halloween. I can’t wait to see him enjoy it this time. Last year he was only 4-months-old. He was a fireman for his first Halloween and it was so cute.

TB: That sounds adorable. It seems like he’s growing up so fast. What’s been your favorite moment as a mom so far?

TM: I can only pick one?! Um, I’d have to say my favorite mom moment is seeing Cree develop and grow. He’s becoming this little man with his own personality. I have become so in love with his little nuances. I sometimes giggle, and he’ll so the same thing, but throw his hand up and his head back.
TB: Oh I know exactly when you mean. The girl I nanny for has started copying me. I’ll shake my finger and say “no, no, no,” and she’ll to the same thing. It’s too cute.

TM: Oh, Cree does that too! It’s so precious to me.

TB: So I have to ask, since you’re such a great mom and you love being a mom, do you want to have more kids? I know The Bump would love to see you have kids.

TM: Yes, definitely. Sooner rather than later,

TB: Well now I have something to look forward to! But until he gets a sibling, is Cree excited about his cousin?

TM: Yes! Tamera and I said that we can’t wait to see them together. We actually think they’re going to get together and gang up on us some day. Haha. But it’s funny because Tamera showed me a picture of the ultrasound of her son and she was tripping out. He looked just like Cree did in his ultrasound. We compared pictures and we were blown away. But it makes because we’re twins and she and I share the same DNA.

TB: That’s true. I hope they don’t confuse you two.

TM: Haha. I know. We said it’s must be so weird that their mom and aunt look alike.

TB: Yeah, especially because Cree is too young to understand it. How much longer till your nephew arrives?

TM: Tamera’s about to give birth any day now.

TB: Oh that’s amazing. Well best of luck to both of you! I know we can’t wait to hear what happens next.

Malin Akerman is going to be a mom!

A rep for the 27 Dresses star confirmed to People that she’s expecting her first child with husband Roberto Zincone.

The couple wed in Italy in 2007. At first many thought the marriage wouldn’t last, but Malin is happy to have proved them wrong.

“People would say, ‘I’ll give the two of you five years,” she told Women’s Health in 2009. “But it gets better and better every day.”

Congrats to the couple! We can’t wait to see this cutie in 2013!

The Prinze has arrived!

Today, a rep for Sarah Michelle Gellar announced that the star recently gave birth to a baby boy.

“Sarah Michelle and Freddie Prinze, Jr. are thrilled to announce that they welcomed a baby son into the world this past week,” the rep told Us Weekly. ”Mother and baby are doing great.”

This is the second child for the couple, who celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary on September 1. The baby boy, who has yet to be named, will join their 3-year-old daughter Charlotte Grace.

It’s a third baby boy for Melissa Joan Hart.

This morning, a rep for the Melissa and Joey star confirmed that she gave birth to her son Tucker last night at around 10 p.m. The baby, weighing 8 lbs., 5 oz., is doing well and so is Melissa. The proud papa is her husband Mark Wilkerson.

“Mom and Dad are elated and can’t wait to introduce him to his brothers,” the rep told People.

Melissa is extremely happy about Tucker’s birth, as any mom would be.

“Baby boy Tucker has finally arrived! We waited all year to meet this lil man & we could not be more excited & relieved that he is in our arms,” the star tweeted.

This is the third child (and son) for Melissa and Mark. They are also the parents of Mason, 6 1/2, and Brayden, 4. The couple announced they were expecting in April, but chose to wait until the delivery to find out the gender.

Melissa recently celebrated her baby shower at Make Meaning in New York City, where she rocked a gorgeous Isabella Oliver maternity dress.

We couldn’t be happier for Melissa — wow, a house full of boys!

Some new babies have arrived in Bon Temps!

True Blood star Anna Paquin gave birth to twins. A rep for the actress confirmed the news to People magazine this afternoon.

“We can confirm that Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer recently welcomed their twins into the world,” the rep says. “The babies were born a few weeks early, but are in good health and both Mom and Dad are overjoyed.”

The co-stars, who wed in August 2010, announced that they were expecting a child in April. In June, they confirmed that they would be having twins.

These are the first children for Anna. Stephen has two children — Lilac, 10, and Billy, 12 — from previous relationships.

Congrats to the new parents (and make sure to keep them away from werewolves).
