A huge congratulations is in order this morning!

Singer Lily Allen and her husband Sam Cooper welcomed another daughter into the world early on Tuesday morning! Their sweet baby girl, Marnie Rose Cooper, joins her adorable 1-year-old big sister Ethel. Their newest addition shares the same birthday as two other musical legends, Elvis and David Bowie (so looks like music is written in her blood, just like mom!).

On New Years Eve, Lily and her beau were anxiously awaiting their baby’s arrival and the “Smile” singer even tweeted that she was only planning on spending a few days of the new year pregnant. Mama was totally right, giving birth just 8 days into the new year! Though, earlier in the week Lily did take to her Twitter to reveal her attempts to naturally induce labor with no such luck. Looks like Marnie made her debut just when she intended to!

Though no official announcement has come from the parents or their reps, Lily was able to sneak in a thank-you earlier this morning. She tweeted, “Quite overwhelmed by all the well wishing going on. THANKYOU everybody x x x.”

Not to play favorites or anything but I am so in love with the name Marnie. Such an amazing retro-inspired name that is spot-on with mom’s naming style. It’s chic, timeless, elegant and totally rockstar worthy. Plus it’s the kind of moniker that’s adorable for a baby girl and it works for a professional, adult woman. No doubt that Marnie Rose is going to pack a pretty little punch when she gets older!
