The very pregnant Kim Kardashian set sail for Paris (she called it her “final trip” before she can’t fly anymore via Twitter) with mama Kris Jenner in tow. The girls, sans Kim’s boyfriend, Kanye West, took in the sights and sounds around the darling city. But just because the reality TV star was abroad didn’t mean there wasn’t any time for shopping — or stocking up on baby items! She said on her personal blog that she and her mom “were doing some baby shopping and checking on our place here before heading to LA for a while.” So what exactly did the mama-to-be scoop up on her trip?

Looks like our girl Kim was in full on nesting mode. The duo reportedly stumbled into Ovale, a high-end baby boutique in Paris that’s specifically known for its “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy on baby’s gender (and on leaking news to the press). The boutique specializes in gender-neutral clothing — lots of whites, ivories and creams! — and only fitting, it comes with a high price-tag.

Kim eyed Ovale’s chic selection of mini silvery jewelry (again, no hints as to whether it’s gems for baby boy or baby girl West) and this plush, oversized and handmade teddy bear. Not that I’m at all against the white decor, but here’s hoping Kim has a heavy duty washer! Babies are not known for their clean habits — just their cute ones!

And it’ll be absolutely perfect for the many mornings, afternoons and pre-bedtime play occasions that Kim, Yeezy and Kimbryo will have together! Hope Kim specifically ordered it right then and there, because it looks like the item has since sold out on the boutique’s online store.

In my heart of hearts, I want to give Kim Kardashian every benefit of the doubt that I can. But when I heard that Kiki invited every A-lister to her posh baby shower (supposedly slated for June 2, y’all) with personalized music boxes that, when opened, played Kanye’s hit, “Hey Mama”, complete with a wind-up balleria, I had to seriously rethink my criteria for cutting the star some slack.

I just have to ask: Kim, Kanye — are you two FORREAL? It’s one thing to invite friends and fam and every other celebrity in the phonebook to your star-studded shower as a way to celebrate the impending arrival of baby Kimbryo, but it’s a whole ‘nother can of worms when your invite everyone like this. West’s song, “Hey Mama” was the tribute track he wrote for his very own mama, the late Donda West, who passed away after complications following a cosmetic surgery treatment. Kanye’s hit was (and is) a beautiful ode to the woman who helped make him into the man he is today (sans his all-around jerk-y disposition), who raised him, who believed in him — and who ultimately gave him the courage to go on with his life. It was a beautiful tribute to how much he loved his mom, how proud he was of her and how proud he was to be her son. In the early days, I actually got chills when I listened to the tune. It was beautiful, sweet and heartwarming — filled with everything Kanye West is not.

While I think it’s cute that couple has opted to incorporate Kanye’s mom into the festivities — I find the personalized music boxes and twirling ballerina to be a little tacky. Plus, the ballerina on top is practically icing on the cake: proof that the couple plans to welcome a baby girl to the picture in July. What happened to the plans the couple had previously made? To nix all presents so that friends and well-wishers would donate to charity instead? Now that was a great idea… and an idea that Kanye’s mom would have probably been floored by. But I guess the invitations will match the over-the-top celebration that Kourtney and Khloe are reportedly planning for her.

Not for nothing, but Kim also plans to take their newborn baby on tour in October, when papa West heads out to promote his latest album. When Yeezy takes off three months after the reality star gives birth, Kim plans to travel along, baby in tow, and has apparently already made arrangements for cribs and soundproof rooms on every stop along the way. Not exactly what we had in mind for baby’s first months of life — but I suppose when you’re baby Kimbryo, you’ve got to be ready for anything, right?

I honestly never thought I’d see the day but alas, the day has come! Our super-famous, super-fabulous and super-over-the-top parents-to-be Kim Kardashian and her beau, Kanye West, have done the absolute unthinkable. The couple, who will become first-time parents in July, have asked for something so outrageous for their baby that just hearing the news actually made me dizzy.

Now, I knew the day would eventually come when Kimye finally put together a registry for their baby-to-be, but bless their hearts, I was not prepared for what would be on the couple’s list.

Perez Hilton and TMZ are reporting that Kim and Yeezy have officially created baby’s registry — and that the couple has reportedly told all of their friends, family and well-wishers that  they do not wish to receive any gifts and would instead like donations to be made to a charity. Say what?! And even though the couple apparently didn’t request donations go to any one place in particular, it’s reported that they did suggest the Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, which was where Kanye grew up.

I can’t even tell you how happy, excited and proud I am that the two-some opted to have their friends donate to charity instead of seizing the opportunity to stock up on lavish gifts. Though Kim has every right to have a registry, it’s really sweet to see her maternal instincts take over and to know they’ve giving back to other children in need. All the rest, well, it’s no surprise they can fund it themselves!

Kudos, Kimye and Kimbryo! We are proud of you!

Oh, Kimye. As the world turns and we prepare for the impending arrival of your Kimbryo in July, I’ve got to admit something: your pregnancy comments have confused the crap out of me.

There have been so many ups and downs to your pregnancy so far, Kim. On the season finale of Kourtney and Kim Take Miami, after almost sabotaging your sister’s relationship with her baby daddy, you announced you were pregnant. I laughed, I cried — I was honestly excited for you. Then, you did the unthinkable and let slip that you and Kanye West were considering naming your baby North. I felt betrayed and more than anything, confused as to why you’d pick directions on a compass to inspire baby’s moniker. Aside from your tumultuous maternity fashion choices (seriously! Can’t you ask Kourtney for some shopping tips or something?), I really want to be excited for your baby-to-be. Unfortunately, you’re making that impossible. I can’t keep up with the wacky, crazy and downright confusing comments you’ve made about your pregnancy so far.

But before I go any further, let it be known that I think it’s totally acceptable for people to say hilarious and sometimes confusing things during their pregnancies. Your bodies are changing, your experiencing pregnancy brain, your hormones are all over — but Kim really pushes the envelope for me.

So, in the event that you want to clear any of this up for me, Kiki, here are the top 13 comments you’ve made so far that have me shaking my head:

1. “I was waiting for this amazing experience where I could just do whatever I want, eat whatever I want, feel great, and it just hasn’t been that way.” You’re growing a HUMAN, Kim. Surely you don’t think that the world is still all sunshine and daisies and unicorns? Sometimes it’s hard! Roll with it.

2. “Her back hurts, her breasts hurt, her stomach hurts, her feet hurt, her head hurts, her eyes hurt, her nails hurt.” Okay, fine, maybe you didn’t come out and say this, but Khloe spoke for you. And seriously — your nails? Please, explain.

3. “I think that’s why I was anxious for awhile because people will say, your life is totally going to change and obviously you want to evolve in your life to change and it will be an amazing thing — but the way people freaked me out all the time with all their advice?” I’m all in favor of experiencing things on your own but the beginning part of this comment? What. Are. You. Trying. To. Say?

4. “Don’t do it! You’re so lucky. Hold onto these moments, Khloe, adopt! Surrogacy! Anything! I hate this!” Can’t wait til baby West hears all the nice things you’ve said about her before she arrives.

5. “I’m not going to lie and be like, ‘Oh, it’s been amazing and I’ve adjusted great.’At the beginning it was tough for me when your body changes so much, but once you kind of grasp that and embrace it, it’s amazing.” If it’s so amazing Kimmy then why are you telling Khloe to adopt? Riddle me that!

6. “I think it would be really cute because Kanye and I are both K’s, but half the names on our list aren’t K’s.” So wait, are you giving baby a K inspired name? Or are you going with North? Or Easton? GET IT STRAIGHT.

7. “I do like Easton, Easton West.” JUST. SAY. NO. TO. COMPASS. DIRECTIONS. PLEASE.

8. “I’ve said some things that I completely am, like, a hypocrite about now. I would say things about Kourtney like, ‘You cannot have a baby without being married!’” Hey, she said it — not us.

9. “I’m waiting for the moments when someone’s like, ‘Let’s go to McDonald’s and Taco Bell!’ That’s not happening for me and I’m kind of sad about it.” Oh, yeah, sure.

10. “I’m craving carrots and celery with ranch dressing.” Give me a break. You’re pregnant, woman! It’s okay to crave a greasy burger and fries with a side of extra cheese.

11. “Damn!!! I spoke too soon! My 1st pregnancy craving! #InNOut #EnjoyingEveryBite.” See, what did I say?

12. “We buy all white. Or we’ll go and buy both [girl and boy clothing], and then no one will know!” I’d be fine with the dressing baby in all white bit, but then she had to go on and say…

13. “If anyone knows Kanye, they just know how into fashion he is and I think he’s going to have things, like, specially made. So I don’t think hand-me-downs are going to work. I think it has to be, like, just really fun stuff: chains, leather pants.” What are you two doing, anyway? Auditioning baby for a role in the ’50 Shades of Grey’ flick? Heavens!

Before we go any further, let’s get one thing straight: I am not a Kardashian fan. I’ve never watched any of their shows. I still don’t quite understand how or why they are famous. But they have permeated popular culture and now I find myself in the unlikeliest of places: defending Kim Kardashian.

Did I really just write those words?

I sure did. Because I am horrified by the media coverage of her pregnancy weight gain.

Now, no one has benefited more from her fame and celebrity than Ms. Kim, a longtime tabloid target, so it is not too surprising that the media has been all over her the moment she announced her pregnancy. But when did it become acceptable to pick on an expecting mother and call her “fat”?

We’ve all been in there — that awkward period before the baby bump has announced itself as a baby bump and not just a really big lunch. We’ve all felt awkward, uncomfortable and hormonal. Now imagine going through that in the public eye, with tabloids and news outlets scrutinizing every ounce of your body and speculating on your weight gain? I can’t imagine what it must be like to see yourself on cover after cover next to headlines like, “Don’t Call Me Fat!” (US Weekly), “I Can’t Stop Eating!” (In Touch Weekly) and “Pregnant Kim’s Nightmare” (Star magazine, referring to her unlikely 65-lb weight gain). Star even took it one step further, comparing a photo of her in a black and white dress to an image of Shamu the killer whale.

Wow. Really? Um, tabloids, in case you haven’t heard, you’re supposed to gain weight when you’re carrying another human being around inside of you — whether you’re a celebrity like Kim or an average mom like me, who gained more than 60 lbs during her first pregnancy.

I admit, there were definitely times that I felt self-conscious about my size, especially in my third trimester when people asked if I was having twins, and I wasn’t a big fan of my “cankles.” But my pregnancy weight gain was a subject reserved for only three audiences: my obstetrician, my husband and my girlfriends. It was not fodder for late night television or used as a marketing ploy to sell magazines.

So this is why I feel an unexpected pang of sympathy for Kim Kardashian because, celebrity or not, no one deserves to have cruel and nasty things written about their body ­– especially during such a beautiful and special time as pregnancy. The intense scrutiny and obsession with her weight gain is bordering on bullying, and sends a terrible message to all women that the pregnant body is something to be ashamed of.  We already feel the pressure to squeeze back into our skinny jeans weeks after giving birth. Now we’re not even allowed to gain a healthy amount of weight when we’re expecting? Geez, what’s next?

Oh, heavens y’all. If you thought that mama-to-be Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend, Kanye West, were going to keep in line with the Kardashian naming tradition, you got another thing coming!

In the past, Kardashian admitted to E! News that she and her boyfriend were still “thinking about” whether or not they’d bestow baby with another “K” name, even saying that she has to discuss that with her “boyfriend to see where we are. But we’ll keep the name private, I think, whenever we decide.” Uh, sorry Kim, but privacy and celebrities aren’t really a “thing”… ever.

The expectant mom, who comes from a notoriously long line of “K” named siblings, and her beau, West, both have “K” monikers, which makes the pressure to give their baby girl (or boy!) a K-name all the more serious. But Kimye, apparently, has another plan.

Though their little bundle isn’t due until July, the duo has reportedly been toying around with breaking the “K” naming tradition — much like Kardashian’s big sister Kourtney did with her kids, Mason and Penelope. There’s no word on what Kim wants to name baby, but Kanye has already picked a name — and it’s more out there than we ever imagined!

So, what does the rapper plan to name the heiress (or heir!) to his throne? According to The Sun, Yeezy is pretty fond of the name North. As in, “Hey, we’re traveling north!” or, “Do you know what direction the North Star is?” or even better, “Canada is north of here.”

And if you haven’t already put two and two together, allow me. The baby’s full name would be: North West. Yup. North… West.

The reason behind West’s name pick is that he “thinks it sounds good with his surname.” And, to be honest, I have to agree. Nothing says I have a good sense of direction like naming your kid North West.

Regardless, Kanye gets points for originality. I don’t think I know of any celebrities — or anybody at all, to be honest — considering that name for their baby-to-be. The pick, too, is very in-tune with West’s eccentric personality, and I think it’s simple enough to be a good fit for baby.

Cats out of the bag, Kiki! Reports are swirling that mom-to-be Kim Kardashian is expecting a baby GIRL (!!!!!) this summer with her boyfriend, Kanye West.

The news broke over the weekend, with Us Weekly stating that sources close to the pregnant reality TV star exclusively confirm that Kimye is making way for a little lady come July. The source also said that mom and dad are “over the moon!” with joy at the news and that daddy-to-be, Kanye, has “always wanted a girl.”

But since we aren’t ones to just go with the news, we did a little digging of our own. We plugged the facts into our Chinese Gender Chart to predict what Kim is really having at the results were nothing short of surprise! Since Kim announced her pregnancy in December and is due in July, we guesstimated that she and Yeezy conceived baby Kimye in either October (while she was still 31) or in November (after turning 32). Both results proved to support Us Weekly‘s magical source: Kim and Kanye are having a baby girl! Not surprisingly, neither Kim nor Kanye confirmed (or denied!) the news. Looks like we’ll just have to wait and see.

5 Maternity Wedding Dress Picks for Kim Kardashian

If there is anything cuter than Channing Tatum on the red carpet of ANY award show, it’s his (very) pregnant wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum. When the soon-to-be parents made their debut at the Academy Awards, I was literally in awe. Jenna was bumpin’ her way from interview to interview and let me tell you, she was absolutely glowing! Looks aside, though, the pair did spill a few beans when it came to when (and where!) they’ll welcome baby.

Channing said they’ll be in London, where he’ll be working on his latest project, so they’re planning to have baby while overseas. Then, it’s back to work for him (though we’re willing to bet he’ll be stealing a few long lunch breaks to spend time with his family!).

When Ryan Seacrest asked when the duo are due, no specific date was revealed — though Jenna did say she “has a few more months to go.” Which, I’m guessing might be early to mid summer. And if this mean what I think it means, there’s a (scary) chance that Kim Kardashian, Kate Middleton and Jenna Dewan-Tatum all going to bring babies into this world at the same time. And that, my friends, means a busy day of baby news for me.

Regardless, Jenna and Chan looked every ounce in love on last night’s red carpet. Jenna stunned in a figure-flattering lace and sequined gown with colorful earrings and a bright red lip to match. Channing might’ve made headlines for his on stage performance with Charlize Theron, but there was no question the only woman he had eyes for last night was the mother of his future baby. As they weaved their way in and out of interviews on the carpet, they stole a few moments for laughs, smiles and even a smooch! Look:
