In a relationship. Married. Pregnant. Now you can guide your friends on Facebook through every major moment in life.

This week, Facebook added “Expecting Baby” to its list of Life Events.  Matthew Dierker, a member of the Facebook team, says the Life Events are, “easy and expressive ways to mark significant moments in your life such as getting married, buying a house or traveling to new places.” Through this addition, soon-to-be parents can also update friends on the due date and reveal the baby’s gender. Dierker adds that friends will be made aware of the moment through the Celebrations section the site.

Since Facebook launched in 2004, many of the former college students have become grown ups. This add-on seems like a step towards keeping the original users.
